Quote:
Interestingly, the mummy of a young daughter of Ramses II was actually found at Akhmim (Llagostera, 1998, 691-96),

LLAGOSTERA, Esteban, La momia de una hija del faraon Ramses II en Madrid / The mummy of a daughter of Ramesses II in Madrid, Boletín de la Asociación Española de Orientalistas, Madrid 32 (1996), 325-345. (ill.).
In 1884, Eduardo Toda y Güell, who collaborated with Maspero on the discovery of the tomb of Sennedjem, acquired the mummy of a young girl which is now kept at the Faculty of Medicine of the Complutense University of Madrid. Radiological examination of the mummy has shown the girl’s age was 14-15 years. Additional information has come to light from Toda’s papers. The mummy came from Akhmim, the girl’s name was Isis, and the inscriptions on a cartonnage pectoral, now lost, indicated she was a daughter of Ramses II.
The article is presented in Spanish and English versions. W.H.
